Centennial Class Set to be Inducted October 3
The Centennial Class will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 3 at 3:00 p.m.
The Centennial Class will be inducted into the Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 3 at 3:00 p.m. near the fountain in the mall of the campus. The ceremony will be led by Santa Ana College Alumni and Athletic Hall of Famer Ed Arnold.
The Centennial Class, named for the college's 100th anniversary, consists of William Delaney (cross country, track & field), Dave Ogas (coach, football), Don Sneddon (coach, baseball), Eddie Steward (football and track & field) and C.J. Wilson (baseball). This will be the 11th class inducted into the Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Following the induction ceremony, the celebration will continue at the Homecoming football game as the Dons play host to Saddleback College at Santa Ana Stadium with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. During halftime of the game, the Centennial Class, along with Athletic Hall of Fame alumni, will be honored in a brief, on-field ceremony.
The Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2003 to celebrate, recognize and honor the accomplishments of individuals who have made significant contributions as a student-athlete, coach, team or friend to the rich tradition of the Santa Ana College athletic program.
The Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame, an affiliate organization of the Santa Ana College Foundation, is dedicated to preserving the college’s athletic history while providing new opportunities to transferring student-athletes through scholarships. The members of the Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame have distinguished themselves from among the thousands of student-athletes and hundreds of coaches who have excelled at Santa Ana College and epitomize the college’s athletic legacy.
