Andrew Schulte was the Dons top finisher as he took second place at 141-pounds while Richard Miranda, Nathan Mateo, Jacob Blackwell, Alfredo Nava and Juan Hernandez all finished in the top-4.
The Dons wrestling team compiled 141.5 points as a team, placing them fourth at the SoCal Regional Finals. The Dons boasted three individual champions including Andrew Schulte who was named the Lower Weight MVP.
Christian Hauser led the charge with a pin to open the match before Nathan Mateo and Jacob Blackwell each added a pin apiece as the Dons won nine of the 10 weight classes.
Jacob Blackwell was the top finisher for the Dons as he took first place at 165-pounds while also being named the Most Valuable Player of the upper weight classes.
After the Dons rallied to force a 12-12 tie, Mt. San Antonio College came back with two pins in the final four matches to defeat the Dons 24-15.
Juan Jaime remained undefeated for the Dons but the Dons fell to Mt. SAC 20-18 to lose the championship.
The Dons finished three and a half points behind second place Sacramento City College while Juan Jaime won his weight class and remained undefeated on the season.
Leading the way was Juan Jaime and Juan Hernandez who both went undefeated for the Dons in their opening tournament.
