Sophomore runner Paulino Sanchez ended the 2016 season with a 12th place finish at the 2016 California Community College Athletic Association Cross Country State Championships held at Woodward Park in Fresno.
The Dons hosted the SoCal Finals at Irvine Park in Orange. Santa Ana Men’s Cross Country team took 6th place out of 28 teams in the 4 mile run.
As a team, men’s cross country took second place at the OEC Championships, while the women’s cross country team took third place for the Dons.

Over the weekend the Dons cross country team traveled to Santa Clarita to participate in the 2016 Mustang Challenge with NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 four-year universities.
