Dons Fall in 15 Innings, Bounce Back with 13-0 Route Against Cerritos
Santa Ana Baseball bounced back with a 13-0 win over Cerritos in game two of their series on Saturday afternoon.

NORWALK, Calif. - Despite dropping game one 5-4 after 15 innings of action, the Santa Ana Baseball team bounced back with a 13-0 route of the Cerritos Falcons (3-5) in game two on Saturday afternoon.
The Dons (5-4) jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first as Marc Schavone drove in two on a single to center field. In the third, Santa Ana added on with an RBI single to right field from Austin Haller, extending their lead to 3-0.
Both teams were held scoreless from then until the seventh, where the Dons broke things open. Santa Ana scored 10 runs over the final three innings to close the game and secure the series split.
Brady Ashworth got the start and went four innings with five strikeouts. CJ Brown collected his second win of the year as he struck out two over four innings of work. Eddie Pelc finished the Falcons off with a scoreless ninth while adding two more strikeouts.
Thomas Williams played shortstop for the first time this season and made all the difference for the Dons. The sophomore went 3-for-5 with four runs batted in and two runs.
The Dons also got big production from their catchers as Mario Tostado continued his onslaught of pitchers with three hits while Connor Dietsch drove in three runs with three hits of his own.
Santa Ana will now travel to East LA on Tuesday to take on the Huskies on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
