Despite a disappointing eighth place (2-10) finish by Santa Ana, the OEC coaches recognized the two standouts for their impressive performances.
Bailey, a sophomore from Riverside Prep, averaged 16.6 points and was second in the conference with eight rebounds per game. The forward started all 28 games for the Dons and was one of the most improved players in the conference.
Freshman guard Ramon Lopez was the leading scorer for the Dons with 18.7 ppg to go along with 3.4 assists. The sharp shooter out of Godinez High was second in the conference in scoring. His season was highlighted by a 42 point explosion, five shy of the SAC school record, against San Diego Miramar.
