SANTA ANA, Calif. – In its last game of the 2019-20 regular season, the SAC men's basketball team ran away with its 11th win of the season, blowing out the Orange Coast Pirates (5-23, 2-14) 109-86 on Friday night.
Santa Ana (11-17, 6-10) started all four of its sophomores and saw all of them score in double-digits. Ramon Lopez led the way with 24 followed by Sean Githens at 20 while Jeremiah Morehead and Ronald Ellison added 17 and 13 respectively.
As a team, the Dons had one of their best offensive games of the year, finishing with a 56.8 (42-74) field goal percentage while shooting 51.9 (14-27) percent from three and 91.7 (11-12) percent from the free throw line. The team posted a season high 109 points in the season finale.
Santa Ana also outrebounded the shorthanded Pirates 44-21, giving themselves 16 more shots than their opponent.
