SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Dons Men's Soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a game against Oxnard College by a score of 3-1.
Santa Ana went down early after a goal by Oxnard's Luis Juarez in the 15th minute of the game. The Condors were able to score two more goals in the first half to make the deficit 3-0 at halftime.
The Dons tightened up the defense in the second half, keeping the Condors at three and getting a goal of their own from Miguel Gomez in the final minutes of the game.
A strong second half from the Dons was not enough to overcome the early woes. SAC drops to 2-1-1 overall before going to conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 12th at Norco College. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
