At the annual post-conference Orange Empire Conference women's basketball coaches meeting, the OEC coaches selected the First and Second All-Orange Empire Conference Teams while naming Blaysen Varnadoe the OEC Most Valuable Player. Also receiving All-OEC honors were Taylor Ivicevic and Rachel Cain, who were each named Second Team All-OEC.
Varnadoe, a freshman forward from Foothill High School, led the conference with a 20.4 points per game average during OEC competition while also finishing second with 12.9 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 34 points, twice, in back-to-back games against Orange Coast College and Saddleback College. Her top rebounding performance came in the Dons first OEC meeting with Cypress when she grabbed 19 rebounds.
The MVP recognition marks the first time a Santa Ana College player has been selected since the 2001-02 season when Tiffany Wells received the honors.
Ivicevic was the conference's third-leading scorer with 13.8 points per game while finishing second with a 51.4 shooting percentage. Cain also finished with a double-digit average as she averaged 10.4 points per game in the Dons 12 OEC games.
