Escalante Tabbed All-OEC Second Team
Sophia Escalante finished an impressive freshman with being named to the 2022 All-OEC Second Team.
SANTA ANA, Calif. - The 2022 Women's Basketball All-Orange Empire Conference teams were announced on Saturday night. Sophia Escalante was tabbed to the second team following an impressive freshman year for Santa Ana.
Escalante played a huge role for the Dons, averaging 11.7 points to go with 5.0 rebounds a team high 2.7 assists. She also averaged a team high 32 minutes per game as the Dons managed a shorthanded lineup throughout the season.
The freshman guard out of Kennedy High showed a lot of versatility and promise, which bodes well for the Dons as she is set to return for the 2022-23 season.
