Beard Signs with Augusta University
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Sophomore standout Anaya Beard has signed with NCAA Division II Augusta University to continue her education and playing career this Fall.
Beard averaged 16.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in two seasons with the Dons. She was voted Offensive Player of the Year during her freshman year and followed that by earning a spot on the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team this past season.
In her final game with SAC, Beard impressed with a 38 point, eight rebound performance in a second round playoff exit.
She will now take her talents to Augusta, GA to join the Jaguars who went 21-10, winning their conference tournament and reaching the NCAA tournament last season.
