Dons Shutout Grossmont 2-0 to Stay Undefeated

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana women's soccer team stayed undefeated with a 2-0 shutout win over Grossmont College on Friday afternoon.
SAC dominated possession of the ball and limited Grossmont to just two shots and one corner kick in the match. Correspondingly, the Dons finished with 10 total shots and 6 corner kicks.
Leyna Wood put away two goals in the match to provide the offense for the Dons. Wood now has six goals in 2019 and is tied for third in the state. Mya Rodriguez assisted on both goals, giving her four assists on the season, which places her in a five-way tie for most in the state.
The 3-0 Dons will put their undefeated record on the line as they take on Cuyamaca on the road on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Cuyamaca sits at 0-1 after losing their first match of the season 4-2 against College of the Desert back on August 30th.
