SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Dons were unconscious from behind the arc on Wednesday night, hitting the Orange Coast Pirates with 15 total threes on their way to an 83-68 win.
Santa Ana finished 15-34 (44%) from three point range to break the school record of 13 made threes in a game.
The majority of the damage came from Sally Morris, Alexis Smith and Gianna Luna, who all made four threes to combine to go 12-21 from three.
While the Don guards were breaking records on the outside, Alexis Casillas kept working the painted area, recording her seventh double-double of the season with a 19 point, 20 rebound performance.
The Dons (8-9, 3-2) move to fourth place in the Orange Empire Conference and are looking forward to a road contest against Copper Mountain College on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
