Alexis Casillas Chooses Our Lady of the Lake University
Sophomore forward Alexis Casillas is headed to Our Lady of the Lake after a dominant 2017-18 season.
SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana's Alexis Casillas has chosen to sign with Our Lady of the Lake University after a dominant sophomore season on the hardwood.
Casillas was the Dons leader scorer and rebounder, averaging 16 points and 12 .5 rebounds during the 2017-18 season. She posted 13 double doubles with 2.8 assists per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.
The sophomore from Beckman High was named to the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team in her only season with Santa Ana.
Casillas will join Our Lady of the Lake University, which is an NAIA school in San Antonio Texas. The Saints play in the Red River Athletic Conference and finished 23-10, 16-2 last season.
